Everyone that takes interest in advocacy relating to matters of disability does so with the most gallant of intentions and dedications. But not unlike any other task we may embark upon, they may discover that they lack the skills for effectiveness and results. Being an effective advocate in matters of disability requires one wearing many simultaneous hats. One must be a good communicator. One must be a negotiator. One must be a mediator. One must have leadership skills. One must have appropriate temperance and patience. One must be an innovative problem solver.
If you are feeling extraordinarily challenged in your disability advocacy endeavours we may be able to help. Feel free to contact us as to how we may do so for you or your advocacy organization.
